Some typical mindset prevails in our society such as ‘One has to completely avoid rice or ghee or any kind of fatty foods to lose weight’, ‘One needs to spend at least 1 to 2 hours daily to become slim’, ‘One has to skip meals often to become slim’, ‘One has to eat only boiled vegetables no matter how tasteless it may be to achieve desired body’ and many more. Although these are true to some extent but it may be too self-restricting or morale inhibiting or unrealistic to follow that one may just loose interest and sub-consciously give up his or her dream/wish to look like they have always wanted essentially.

To achieve this, Vinod Channa recommends 2 things:

  • To develop a more suitable healthy alternative for each of our lovable junk foods and this healthier option might not be feasible sometimes due to taste cravings but it has proven to be effective in most of his clients. For example, prefer Oats dosa over regular masala dosa, Brown rice over white rice, Jaggery over sugar and many more. Also, reducing one’s quantity of food in a meal.
  • To train or exercise with maximum variations every day. For eg, Side Pull-ups over regular Pull-ups, Side and lateral planks over regular planks.
